Travel to India requires an e-visa. This process has been made simple and accessible through online applications. You can apply for your e-visa by visiting the official website at E-VISA. The application process is straightforward.

One of the requirements for obtaining your e-visa is to provide the address of an Indian company during your application. This is part of the information needed to process your visa. It’s important to have all the required details and documents ready before you start your application to ensure a smooth process.

Remember, applying for an e-visa is a crucial step in planning your trip to India, so it’s best to take care of it well in advance of your travel dates. This way, you can look forward to your trip without any last-minute hassles.

Types of e-Tourist Visas

India’s e-Tourist Visa system offers three types of visas for travellers wishing to visit the country, catering to different durations and types of visits. Here’s a brief overview:

  • One Month e-Tourist Visa: This visa option is suitable for both group and individual tourists. For group tourists, it became available from October 15, 2021, and for individual tourists from November 15, 2021. The visa is valid for one month, or 30 days, allowing for a double entry. However, it cannot be extended or converted into another type.
  • One Year e-Tourist Visa: Valid for one year (365 days) from the date of electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) grant. It permits multiple entries into India, ideal for those wishing to make several trips without reapplying each time.
  • Five Year e-Tourist Visa: Best suited for longer-term travellers or those planning multiple visits over several years. Valid for five years from the date of ETA grant and allows multiple entries. Note that for both one-year and five-year visas, the total stay in India during any calendar year should not exceed 180 days.

These visa options provide flexibility for tourists according to their travel plans, making it easier to explore the rich cultural and historical heritage of India.
