e-Visa For Sri Lanka

1. Visit the Official ETA Website

2. Select the Appropriate Visa Type

  • Choose the type of visa based on your purpose of travel:
    • Tourist Visa: For tourism and holiday visits.
    • Business Visa: For business-related visits.
    • Transit Visa: For transit purposes (staying less than 2 days).

3. Fill Out the Online Application Form

  • Complete the form with your personal details, passport information, and travel details (arrival date, flight number, address in Sri Lanka, etc.).
  • Ensure that all the information matches the details on your passport.

4. Pay the Visa Fee

  • Pay the ETA processing fee online using a credit or debit card. The fee depends on the type of visa:
    • Tourist Visa (30 days, double entry): USD 35 (SAARC countries) or USD 50 (other countries).
    • Business Visa: USD 40 (SAARC countries) or USD 60 (other countries).
    • Transit Visa: Free of charge.

5. Receive the ETA Approval Notice

  • After successful payment and submission, you’ll receive an ETA approval notice via email, usually within 24-48 hours.
  • Print this approval notice to carry with you.

6. Arrival in Sri Lanka

  • Present the ETA approval notice at the immigration counter upon arrival.
  • Have your passport (valid for at least six months from the date of arrival), proof of onward travel, and hotel booking or itinerary ready.
  • The immigration officer will process your entry and provide the visa stamp.

Important Notes

  • Double-check the validity of your passport.
  • The tourist and business visas allow for a stay of up to 30 days, with the possibility of extension.
